         Addressing:          Back to Top

There are several ways to print addresses on envelopes, catalogs and
self-mailers. Your UMPS representative will help you determine what's
               best for your projects:

                     1. Best Quality!  Video Jet 4000 Print Mail (up to 600 x 600 dpi) is your                          choice for high-quality imaging, with TrueType fonts, plus upper and                          lower case. It even prints in color to make your mail piece stand out!

                     2. Video Jet offers high resolution,
& works well on glossy or coated                          papers. Upper-case addressing.

                     3. Scitex imaging gives you high                          resolution & upper and lower                          case. It's fast, but has limitations                          on certain kinds of glossy and                          coated papers.

                     4. Labels
                           • 4-up Cheshire labels work well on dark backgrounds, where inkjet                              systems would not show up.
                           • Piggyback labels on a wax backing let your customer peel off the                              label and use it on an order form or reply device.

Inserting & Hand Assembly:     Back to Top

Whether you have a one-page letter in an envelope, or as many as 18                components (brochure, letter, reply form, buck slip, lift note, etc.), UMPS can                put it all together ... inserting as many as 750,000 packages per day. Our                high-speed automatic inserters handle envelopes as large as 9x12." We've                also perfected a fast and accurate method of hand insertion for those projects                that cannot be done by machine.

         Match Inserting:   Back to Top

Important personalized direct                mail, such as fundraising or                that personal correspondence                look, requires a non-window                envelope with high-resolution                address and live stamp, plus a                letter, reply form and other                components.
Universal Mailing & Printing Services, Inc. makes sure all the personalized                pieces match for a professional-looking package that should pull great!

         Tab Sealing:   Back to Top

Does your self-mailer need a wafer seal?
               Yes
if it mails at the "automation rate"                discount. Tabs prevent the open edge of                your mailer from jamming the high-speed                processing equipment at the U.S. Postal                Service. Universal Mailing & Printing                Services, Inc. can apply one or two tabs                quickly and easily as part of our in-line                imaging process. Choose clear plastic,                paper or customized tabs to complement                the design of your mailing piece.
